- History project
The 2024-25 history project is History of a Process: Storage Source Heat Pump. It's a new living laboratory and showcase of an electrified hydronic heating and cooling solution. This system was installed in a historically significant building for Trane. Therefore, the project will include bonus history coverage of Emil H. Erickson, and the Emil H. Erickson building.
In 1902, Emil joined the James A. Trane Plumbing and Heating Company and was a part of the Trane Vacuum Heating Company. He later returned to The Trane Company in 1917. Emil had considerable impact on the manufacturing growth during this period until his death in 1950. Rueben Trane dedicated a new enlarged tool room at 1700 Horton Street as the Emil H. Erickson Building in 1951. This recorded dedication speech was re-discovered and digitized in the last couple years.

- 25 YEA Members
- Continuing to offer great programs.
- Sharing Distinguished Lecturers with other Chapters works well.
- Should expand Regionally with other Chapters
- Continuing to document standard processes to make transitions easier each year.

lessons learned
- If we had this year to do over...
- Improve organizing CTTC events and getting the word out earlier.
- In person events with virtual options may be keeping members from attending in person, so this is something to consider limiting.
- Engage more members to fill vacant positions.
- Engage past Chapter Officers and membership as mentors.
